We have booked our holidays with Elaine for several years after having the pleasure of meeting her in Corfu. She has made the effort to get to know us, and now we simply give her a rough idea of what we're looking for and when, and she does the rest.
Tavira came highly recommended for a week’s break and was somewhere new for us. And it's easily accessible via excellent flights from East Midlands Airport.
Elaine had booked a private transfer, and we were immediately impressed with a clearly beautiful place with its cobblestoned walkways, beautiful buildings and churches.
The AP Maria Nova Lounge was a fabulous hotel, with an excellent rooftop restaurant serving delicious food; a lovely spa and sauna, where we enjoyed a relaxing massage; a gym; and very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was pleasant, clean and tidy, and well serviced.
A wonderful 11km beach is just a 20-minute ferry ride away down the Gilão river and costs 2.50 Euros return per person. The beach was delightfully quiet with few people around wherever we went along its seemingly neverending sands and shore.
Tavira is a charming and delightful Algarve town, filled with historical attractions, cobbled streets with traditional tiled houses and quaint family-run restaurants serving authentic and tasty food.
We had a great time and would definitely return. Thank you to Elaine for once again finding the right holiday for us.
